Due to our unique relationship with the Department, POPPA is notified immediately of any critical incident or traumatic event which may impact an officer. Trauma Response Team (TRT) members are on call for a 24-hour period and are immediately deployed to the site of an incident to assist officers at the scene for an immediate diffusing of the event and offer follow-up debriefings. Whether a shooting, accident resulting in serious injury or death, or a horrific crime scene, our Trauma Response Teams are deployed at any hour of the day or night to respond in real-time directly to the scenes of critical incidents.
